Finding No-HOA Homes on the Florida Coast
Pros, cons and where to look for homes without a homeowners association.

Why buyers want no HOA
No HOA can mean more freedom for boats, RVs, sheds, paint colors and fencing, and no monthly association dues.
Trade-offs
Without an HOA, there are no shared amenities or architectural rules, so neighboring properties may vary. City and county codes still apply.
Where to look
Older established neighborhoods in many coastal cities, including parts of Palm Coast, Port Orange and the mainland areas of Volusia County, often include homes without an HOA. Always confirm through the property's title and records.
